About Us

Quality means doing it right when no one is looking.”

I have always fed my dogs the healthiest diet possible which I believe is
a raw diet, rich in protein in the form of raw chicken wings, necks and livers, supplemented with carrots and apples and a variety of other nutritious foods.
A healthy diet means a healthy immune system and a healthy immune
system means the dogs have the best chance of avoiding diseases and
maintaining a sense of well being.
When it comes to their treats, I make sure the ingredients are fresh and nutritious so their health is never compromised.
I am a certified baker who has always believed in providing the best ingredients possible at the highest quality possible with no unnecessary fillers or preservatives.
After years of experimenting with recipes and combinations of recipes and
adding my own preferred ingredients, I came up with an extremely healthy,
high quality, high energy biscuit for dogs.
The biscuits were made for my dogs, but I started to give them to friends with dogs at Christmas time.  Being a portrait photographer, if I had a pet photo session I’d bring some along for rewards.  I would also have them on hand in my car just in case I would run into an acquaintance with a four legged companion.
After seven years of perfecting the biscuit and countless requests from those wanting to purchase biscuits for their dogs and as gifts, I decided to launch Picassa Dog Biscuits to get the tasty treats out into the marketplace where more canines could benefit from them!
The “Picassa” Design
Originally, I iced the biscuits with colorful melted carob chips, but while carob is safe for canines I wanted to keep the biscuits as nutritious as possible.  They were also made in hearts and other designs but I found that a more natural finger printed “artsy” biscuit offered a unique texture with more crunch that added to the ultimate chewing experience…….and for little dogs who might be intimidated by a larger biscuit, they can be easily broken up into tiny nuggets.  So while the cute and clever designs might have pleased the human eye….in the Picassa Dog Biscuit test kitchen the doggy votes were the only ones that counted!!
(The packaging has been kept as minimal and environmentally friendly as possible and made to provide the contents with maximum freshness.)
